Overview
A localized geographic area, such as Phoenix, AZ. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is hosted in regions and Availability Domains. A region is composed of several Availability Domains. An Availability Domain is one or more data centers located within a region. For more information, see [Regions and Availability Domains](docs.us-phoenix-1.oraclecloud.com/Content/General/Concepts/regions.htm).
To use any of the API operations, you must be authorized in an IAM policy. If you’re not authorized, talk to an administrator. If you’re an administrator who needs to write policies to give users access, see [Getting Started with Policies](docs.us-phoenix-1.oraclecloud.com/Content/Identity/Concepts/policygetstarted.htm).
