Ndd RSpec Rails

RSpec utilities for Rails.

The API documentation can be find at RubyDoc.


This gem requires RSpec 3.XXX and is tested with:

  • Ruby 2.4.x
  • Ruby 2.3.x
  • Ruby 2.2.x


Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'ndd-rspec-rails'

And then execute bundle

Or install it yourself with gem install ndd-rspec-rails


Model matchers

See the model matchers documentation for more details.

  • have_a_translated_attribute: ensures that a model has an associated translation;
  • have_a_translated_model: ensures that an attribute has an associated translation;


After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. Then, run rake spec to run the tests. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.
