Typeking
Installation
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'typeking'
And then execute:
$ bundle install
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install typeking
Usage
Typeking::GameController.new() #starts the application
1. Install the gem
2. Open IRB by typing 'irb' in the terminal
3. Type 'require 'typeking'' and press enter
4. Type Typeking::GameController.new() and press enter
5. Use the keyboard to navigation to 'Register' and press enter
6. Login using the registered name (case-sensitive)
7. Press enter on the 'Play' option
8. Enter how many words you want to type (enter a number from 5-500)
9. Type the words that appear in the terminal
10. See results when typing is finished
11. Play again or log out to check if you have made the leaderboards!
Development
After checking out the repo, run bin/setup
to install dependencies. Then, run rake spec
to run the tests. You can also run bin/console
for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install
. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb
, and then run bundle exec rake release
, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and the created tag, and push the .gem
file to rubygems.org.
