ANSI terminal coloring in Ruby.

Installation

gem sources -a http://gems.github.com

sudo gem install jbe-goethe

Features

• Sensible syntax
• Less than 60 lines of code

Requires

• A terminal with 16 colors afaik
• gem install win32console in case of Windows (untested)

Synopsis

class Poet

   include Goethe::Palette

   def proclaim
      puts red( 'Oh!' )
      puts 'How ' + black('twisted', :yellow) + ' is not fate?'
      puts blue('But, alas, how wonderful!',
                  :underline, cyan, :blink, :bold)

end

Method names denote foreground colors. Parameters, in the form of symbols, denote background color or modifiers.

Colors	black, red, green, yellow, blue, purple, cyan, white
Modifiers	bold, underline, blink
