GabysePalindrome detector
gabyse_palindrome_detector is a sample Ruby gem created in Learn Enough Ruby to Be Dangerous by Michael Hartl.
Installation
To install gabyse_palindrome_detector, add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'gabyse_palindrome_detector'
And then execute:
$ bundle install
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install gabyse_palindrome_detector -v 0.1.0
Usage
gabyse_palindrome_detector adds a palindrome? method to the String and Integer classes, and can be used as follows:
$ irb
>> require 'gabyse_palindrome_detector'
>> "honey badger".palindrome?
=> false
>> "deified".palindrome?
=> true
>> "Able was I, ere I saw Elba.".palindrome?
=> true
>> phrase = "Madam, I'm Adam."
>> phrase.palindrome?
=> true
>> "".palindrome?
=> false
>> 12321.palindrome?
=> true
>> 12345.palindrome?
=> false
Development
After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. Then, run rake test to run the tests. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.
