DragonflyPuppeteer

Build Status Gem Version Coverage Status

Dragonfly gem that uses Puppeteer to control headless Chrome in order to render PDF or screenshots.

Requirements

  • node
  • Chrome headless

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'dragonfly_puppeteer'

And then execute:

$ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install dragonfly_puppeteer

Usage

Add the plugin to Dragonfly:

Dragonfly.app.configure do
  plugin :puppeteer
end

The gem bundles all node_modules required for the Puppeteer scripts to run and connect to remote Chrome. For that to work, the CHROME_HEADLESS_HOST and CHROME_HEADLESS_PORT env variables need to be set.

If you wish to use the Chromium bundled with Puppeteer, run yarn --check-files first (so that the bundled Chromium is installed).
