Detect your BeagleBone on a local USB port in your Rails web application

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'beaglebone_usb'

And then execute:

$ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install beaglebone_usb

Add to your application.js

//= require events
//= require beaglebone_usb

Usage

var bb_usb = new beaglebone_usb.USBConnection();

bb_usb.on("connect", function() {
    console.log ("beaglebone connected");
});

bb_usb.on("disconnect", function() {
    console.log ("beaglebone disconnected");
});

bb_usb.discover();
