Gem Version Build Status Code Climate Coverage Status Dependency Status

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'activerecord-compatible_legacy_migration'

And then execute:

$ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install activerecord-compatible_legacy_migration

Usecase

  • gem including migration file (e.g. mountable engine)

Usage

Use ActiveRecord::CompatibleLegacyMigration.migration_class instead of ActiveRecord::Migration

Example

class CreateUsers < ActiveRecord::CompatibleLegacyMigration.migration_class
  def change
    create_table :users do |t|
      t.timestamps null: false
    end
  end
end

ActiveRecord::CompatibleLegacyMigration.migration_class returns ActiveRecord::Migration when activerecord 4.x and returns ActiveRecord::Migration[4.2] when activerecord 5.0+

see ActiveRecord::CompatibleLegacyMigration

Configurations

Usage

ActiveRecord::CompatibleLegacyMigration.config.default_version = 4.2

or

ActiveRecord::CompatibleLegacyMigration.configure do |config|
  config.default_version = 4.2
end
  • default_version : default migration version for activerecord 5.0+ (default: 4.2)
