S3ReproxyDownload

Provide helper method that S3 file downloade use X-REPROXY-URL

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 's3_reproxy_download'

And then execute:

$ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install s3_reproxy_download

Usage

First, include S3ReproxyDownload::Helper module to your controller.

  class YourController
    include S3ReproxyDownload::Helper
  end

Call send_s3_file method.

  class YourController
    include S3ReproxyDownload

    def show
      send_s3_file :your_bucket, :file_key
    end
  end

If you want to set custom headers, you should use headers option.

  class YourController
    include S3ReproxyDownload

    def show
      send_s3_file :your_bucket, :file_key, headers: {'X-CUSTOM-HEADER' => 'custom'}
    end
  end

Development

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.
