ms-translator

Ruby library for the Microsoft® Translator API

For more information about the Translator itself, go to www.microsofttranslator.com/Tools/ and msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff512388.aspx

Usage

Get an AppID from Microsoft/Bing: www.bing.com/developers/appids.aspx

Set you App Id. This needs to be done only once during the applications runtime.

Microsoft::Translator.set_app_id('my_app_id')

Translate:

Microsoft::Translator('Ruby is a dynamic, open source programming language ' +
  'with a focus on simplicity and productivity.', 'en', 'ja')

=> "Ruby プログラミング言語シンプルさと生産性を中心とする動的なオープン ソースです。"

Note on Patches/Pull Requests

  • Fork the project.

  • Make your feature addition or bug fix.

  • Add tests for it. This is important so I don’t break it in a future version unintentionally.

  • Commit, do not mess with rakefile, version, or history. (if you want to have your own version, that is fine but bump version in a commit by itself I can ignore when I pull)

  • Send me a pull request. Bonus points for topic branches.
