Lite::Validators

Lite::Validators is a collection of validators useful for any Rails application.

NOTE: If you are coming from ActiveValidation, please read the port section.

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'lite-validators'

And then execute:

$ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install lite-validators

3rd-party

The following are highly recommended 3rd-party validators to supplement your workflow:

Port

Lite::Validators is a near compatible port of ActiveValidation.

The names for the following validators has been changed, so you will need to make the appropriate changes: equality #=> compare, phone #=> phone_number

The syntax for the following validators has been reworked, so you will need to consult the docs for making the appropriate changes: csv, compare

Development

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. Then, run rake spec to run the tests. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.
