JiraDependencyVisualizer

This gem was created as a way to visualize dependencies between tickets in Jira. The initial use case was to view how an epic's dependent tickets were interconnected along with their current status.

The status colors in the graph are customizable via a yaml file. See ./config/color.yaml for an example.

Dependencies

This gem requires the graphviz package to be installed. On Mac/homebrew: brew install graphviz.

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'jira_dependency_visualizer'

And then execute:

$ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install jira_dependency_visualizer

Usage

The gem can be consumed as either a CLI tool or as a library.

$ jira_dependency_visualizer --help

Development

After checking out the repo, run bundle install to install dependencies. Then, run bundle exec rake to run the tests.
