Awslist

Welcome to your new gem! In this directory, you'll find the files you need to be able to package up your Ruby library into a gem. Put your Ruby code in the file lib/awslist. To experiment with that code, run bin/console for an interactive prompt.

TODO: Delete this and the text above, and describe your gem

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'awslist'

And then execute:

$ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install awslist

The gem contains basically 3 functions

  1. get_input :

This function returns 5 parameters , which are later used to call main functionality.

@os , @region , @memory , @cpu_req , @hash = Awslist.get_input

  a. @os is the operating system value

  b. @region is Region value

  c. @memory is aws instance basic memory requirement

  d. @cpu_req is aws instance basic cpu requirement

  e. @hash is a hash built of the aws instance data

All this values , except hash , is inputed by the user , on calling get_input function

  1. refine_output :

After taking the input from the user , refine output is called , with all above 5 paramenters , i.e.

@output = Awslist.refine_output(@os , @region , @memory , @cpu_req , @hash)

It will output a resulted array of the requirements matching instances

  1. print :

It will take input as output of refine_output , and print the results

Awslist.print(@output)

Development

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. Then, run rake spec to run the tests. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.
